Frequently Asked Questions

Enclosed transport

  • Enclosed protects from weather, road debris and prying eyes: it is the standard for a valuable, rare or fragile car. Open transport remains relevant for an everyday vehicle, on routes where exposure is not a concern. In doubt, describe the car — we will tell you frankly whether enclosed is justified.

  • The price depends on distance, vehicle value, convoy exclusivity — alone in the trailer or in enclosed groupage — and the level of insurance. We don't run flat rates: configure your request through our online quote and you receive a firm proposal within 24 hours.

  • A full inspection and condition photos at departure, tie-downs matched to your model — soft straps, custom chocking, low ramps —, enclosed transport with a single point of contact keeping you informed, then hand-to-hand delivery on arrival, condition checked together against the departure photos.

  • Every transport runs under CMR conditions with additional cover up to €850,000 per vehicle and €1,350,000 per transport, valid from loading to unloading and confirmed in writing before departure. Any particular risk — carbon or aluminium bodywork, lowered vehicle, width above 1.95 m — is declared before the mission.

  • Your single point of contact, reachable throughout the mission, keeps you informed at every step — pick-up, journey, delivery. Real-time tracking on a map will arrive with our app, currently in development.

  • Supercars, GTs, sports cars, classic and collector cars, prototypes and prestige saloons. Unsure about your model? Just ask.

  • Yes, in enclosed transport too — from collection to competition — with a dedicated tie-down inside the same rigid box, and the same care and discretion.

  • Yes, across all of Europe, door to door — and Belgium doesn't need to be on the route. We collect and deliver from one point of the continent to another: France to Norway as readily as Paris to Monaco. Beyond Europe, every request is studied.

  • A few days are usually enough for a domestic route; count two to three weeks for an international transport or an event deadline. Urgent requests often remain possible: the fleet and crews are our own, so we re-plan without depending on third parties.

  • Low fuel level, alarm disabled, personal belongings removed, particularities flagged — ground clearance, starting procedure, tie-down points. We handle the rest, winch loading included if the car doesn't run.

Open transport

  • Open is the rational choice for an everyday or premium daily car: direct, efficient, more economical. As soon as value, rarity or confidentiality come into play, enclosed takes over — the vehicle travels invisible, sheltered from weather. In doubt, describe the car: we answer frankly.

  • Less than an enclosed transport on the same route: an open truck carries more vehicles and shares the journey between them. The price then depends on distance, groupage or dedicated, dimensions and access conditions. No flat rates: one request through the online quote, one firm proposal within 24 hours.

  • Yes. Same CMR conditions, same additional cover up to €850,000 per vehicle and €1,350,000 per transport, from loading to unloading, confirmed in writing before departure. The type of truck doesn't change the cover.

  • On a truck, your car doesn't gain a kilometre: no wear, no road risk behind the wheel, and CMR cover applies from loading to unloading. A hired driver drives the vehicle; an open truck transports it.

  • From a single-car bed to eight-vehicle rigs. One car travels dedicated; a batch leaves in groupage on the same truck — useful for dealers, fleets and relocations.

  • Everyday cars, premium saloons and SUVs, dealer batches, new vehicles delivered after purchase. For a collector car, a supercar or a prototype, we point you to enclosed transport.

  • Across all of Europe, door to door — and Belgium doesn't need to be on the route: we collect and deliver from one point of the continent to another. Beyond Europe, every request is studied.

Express transport

  • Within hours when possible — it depends on where our trucks are and where the vehicle leaves from. Near our Belgian base is fastest; elsewhere in Europe, the approach time is added. In every case you get a firm pick-up time on the call, not a vague window.

  • Yes. +32 2 347 40 30 answers at any hour, every day — and pick-ups happen at night too. That availability comes from our structure: e-motion is part of a-move, a mobility services group, so there is always a crew and a truck that can be mobilised.

  • More than a planned transport on the same route: an express mission mobilises a truck and a driver as a priority, sometimes at night. The price then depends on distance, the requested timing and the type of truck — it is announced on the phone, before anything is committed.

  • It depends on availability and on the vehicle. When value or discretion demand it, we mobilise an enclosed box; for direct journeys without that constraint, the open bed is often the fastest. The choice is made on the call, with you.

  • Yes. Same CMR conditions, same cover up to €850,000 per vehicle and €1,350,000 per transport, from loading to unloading. Urgency doesn't change the cover.

  • Yes, within what's possible: a handover staged to your scenario, a clean-up before delivery, the vehicle charged and ready to drive, coordination with your garage. We don't replace a workshop or a professional detailer — but we listen, and we compose.

  • Anywhere in Europe, door to door. The fastest departure remains a pick-up near our Belgian base; for a departure elsewhere on the continent, the approach time is added and announced on the call. Delivery goes wherever you decide.

Transport & Handling

  • Concours classics, delivery-mile hypercars, OEM prototypes and everyday luxury cars alike. Every move is matched to the vehicle — enclosed transport, soft straps and a crew trained on low-clearance, high-value machinery.

  • Enclosed is our standard for valuable, rare or fragile cars: the vehicle travels out of sight, protected from weather and road debris, secured on soft straps. For vehicles that don't call for it, we also run open transport — same fleet, same crews.

  • Yes. Non-runners and low-clearance vehicles are part of the daily work: shallow loading angles, winch loading and a crew that knows where a splitter ends and the ramp begins. Mention the vehicle's condition when you book and the right equipment is on the truck.

Insurance & Documentation

  • Yes. Every vehicle is covered end to end by comprehensive transit insurance. We carry out a detailed photographic condition report at collection and again at delivery, so the handover is documented on both sides.

  • With a photographic condition report at collection and again at delivery, checked with you against the departure images. If a question ever arises, the facts are already on file.

  • You contact your coordinator — the same person who has followed the move from day one. The condition reports establish the facts, the insurer is engaged immediately and we handle the claim through to resolution.

Booking & Scheduling

  • For domestic routes a few days' notice is usually enough; for event deadlines or international moves we recommend two to three weeks so we can plan the optimal window. Last-minute and time-critical jobs can often still be accommodated — just ask.

  • Often, yes. Because the fleet and the crew are our own, we can re-plan without negotiating with third parties. Call with the deadline and you get a straight answer on whether we can commit to it.

  • We operate across Europe and coordinate the paperwork, customs and timing on your behalf. You get a single point of contact who tracks the vehicle from door to door, whatever borders it crosses.

Tracking & Discretion

  • Each shipment comes with a dedicated coordinator who keeps you informed at every step and answers before you have to ask. Real-time tracking on a map is coming with our app, currently in development.

  • Our own people, on our own trucks. The crew that loads your vehicle is employed and trained by us, and the same crew hands it back at delivery.

  • Discreet by default. Vehicle, route and client details stay within the team running the move, and nothing is photographed or shared beyond the condition report without your consent.
